Lucas Hudson has six weeks remaining before leaving his small town for college, but first, he must adjust to the return of his new stepbrother, Dane Bolton, from the Marine Corps. Although initially reluctant about the return of the local hero and former football jock, who had been three years ahead of him in high school, Lucas develops an instant crush on his new roomie. 21 year-old, Dane Bolton is a dominant marine with a kinky side and has secretly been fixated on Lucas long before they were related by marriage. Dane quickly becomes controlling and starts to take over Lucas’ life. With a deep and mostly untouched submissive nature, Lucas is ripe for the picking and falls completely under the spell of the dynamic Alpha Male. Dane, who will stop at nothing to possess the object of his longtime fantasy, spins Lucas into his web. Dane attempts to take control of the young, blond and demands nothing less than Lucas’ complete and total submission. In this erotic novel filled with love, possession and obsession, Dane and Lucas struggle to overcome many obstacles on their way to happiness which most importantly includes their respective parents.

This novel is approximately 65,000 words. This work features many aspects and fetishes of a m/m dominant and submissive relationship including, bondage, sports gear, foot play, kink, chastity, discipline, toys and control.

Having read one of Mr. Kennedy's other short stories I was aware of his fixation on (extreme) dom/sub relationships. However, I wasn't prepared for the level of camp in this story. Full disclosure...I don't know if it was intended, but this is definitely one of those "it's so bad it might be good" works. Where to start:

- The dialogue is just otherworldly awful. I laughed so much I thought I would hyperventilate. Most of it reads like a bad 70s porno...it's just delightfully horrible (if that makes sense)
- The plot is actually not that bad.
- The sex is pretty hot. Though it gets a little repetitive.

The things that lowered my rating were:

- The editing is pretty bad (tons of misspelled words and grammatical errors)
- Mr. Kennedy's take on dom/sub pairings is not for everyone. To say the relationships he portrays in his books are unhealthy is an understatement. I don't mind this type of material being out there for consumption, but I can't deny it makes me a little nervous reading it.

As with the other books from Mr. Kennedy that I read, I don't know if I would recommend Homecoming. Unlike, the other books I can definitely say that has more to do with the content than the price (Mr. Kennedy's other books tend to be pricey for the page count). This is a solid 2.5 read, so take that this review for what it's worth.

Homecoming edition by Keegan Kennedy Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

This story was extremely erotic,it made me feel at war with who I thought was the luckier of the two main characters. They were both living fictional lives that I envied.
This was a decent read, but honestly I've read much better M/M fiction on Nifty. It might be the editor in me but the story was chock full of typos and grammatical errors--they didn't distract too much from the story but they are quite noticeable and may interrupt your flow of reading. You will have to suspend a whole lot of disbelief as you read this, especially given Dane and Lucas' living situation in the book (All that activity with their parents in the same house? Really? And sex in a dressing room at a retail store? Come on!) The sex was hot and descriptive, but after the third or fourth time it was the same details over and over again. Dane's socks always taste the same, Dane always speaks "huskily," etc. This was my first time reading Kennedy and I think he could afford to be a little more creative in describing the scenes and adding "some" realism, at least to the dialogue. I know this is a work of M/M fiction, but there are plenty of spots where it could be a little better. The additional characters in the story are almost non-existent and barely described or fleshed out in any matter, and I wish the author had just removed them entirely and just wrote about Dane and Lucas. Overall, it's a hot read, but I would save your money and just log on to Nifty.
Very intense reading. Kept me reading just to see how it was going to end. Had a lot of kinks in the storyline which made me like it. Nice job Mr. Kennedy.
Wow this book is one of my favorites purchased back in 2013 (but never reviewed til now oops).. A fantastic story which includes some of Keegan's sizzling writing. I loved the main characters in this book and the feelings they go through. Dane and Lucas are so hot in scenes of bondage and foot fetishes and a lot more. Highly Recommended Read..its fantastic.
Read Homecoming and then had to see if the audiobook was as good.
Of course it is smoking hot. Dane is a very domineering man.
Dane and Lucas play in bondage and paddling and chastity devices.
They have great chemistry together. I wish there was more.
Maybe someday we will see them as they get older together and what kind of naughty kinky things they do.
Very enjoyable. Keegan Kennedy writes good kink.
I had initially just read the sample as a curiosity. The relationship at the focus is a pseudo-incestuous one. Dane has shades of an obsessive controlling personality as compared to Lucas who is gaga over his "brother" ready to do everything he says. There are a lot of sex scenes (not all of which maybe to the liking of everyone but many of them would be steamy to those who like them). There is a lot of bondage, rough sex and a good dose of foot fetish. This maybe disturbing for many people though I must say the book does have its set of romantic moments to it too. Keegan is a specialist in this genre and has done a good job of writing (though his books do have some really annoying typos sometimes. I wish he'd get those proof read. I have loved to read some of his other books too and would gladly do it for him if he asked me!).
I have read portions of this book a number of times and would recommend it to readers who can handle some kink and obsessive loves )
I was initially intrigued (via the sample) but the business of extreme "dominance/submission" in sex I find very distasteful; but I kept reading, then thinking that the submissive one might awaken to the damage; but this story tries to make the whole S&M style seem to "work" on the basis of strong sex. I believe that--even if it continues "working" sexually--the psychological damage, the depersonalization can only be destructive of civilized human life. Like serious drug use, the pleasure may seem/be real/good, but the end result is life destroying.

I cannot recommend that anyone read this author (his other books I've sampled seem toward the same ugly theme).
